The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is a romantic crime book which was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The story is set in the 1920s in New York, USA. It is about a millionaire called Jay Gatsby who wants to tempt his former love Daisy Buchanan to go back with him. Daisy is married to Tom Buchanan and her cousin Nick Carraway is the narrator of the story. New York was experimenting a growth in those years but eight years later the crisis will arrive, though. In this story you can see the way rich people live and their ambitions. Also, you can see their relationship with ilegal trades. As a result, this is not only a love story but also a drama and a crime story, too. With all these elements combined, you can say it is a great story to read. I would reccomend this story to a friend of mine´s dad named Jorge. He is a fan of old stories, especially when they are about of crime and when they are dramas.

My Life

Hi!

My name is Julian Miro. I am sixteen years old and I was born in Buenos Aires, Avellaneda. I have a brother named Lautaro and my parents are called Roxana and Guillermo. I love sports, particularly tennis, boxing and football. When I grow up, I would like to be a forensic psychiatrist. I love writing and I have some good ideas that I would like writing about.

I am currently at high school about to end my time there. I am a big fan of football, specially from abroad. I love tennis, and I watch all the tournaments I can. I also practised tennis once in my life but I quitted a year ago. At present, I go to the gym three days a week. I also love watching films and TV series online. I like horror films, but I prefer thrillers and dramas. I also love action films, comedies and science fiction films.

There are many subjects that I found interesting at school, some of them are politics, literature, social sciences and I love biology and psychology.

If I ever got to travel, I would like to go to Ireland or Italy.

I would like to become a forensic psychiatrist because I love medicine and i would like to study it. Although right now I am not sure about my future and my career.

I would like to write about stories or maybe about reality such as things that are in progress now or maybe horror stories. I know I can write about many different kinds of things, I just have to jump on them.

Since I know I am finishing school I start to miss it already. Although I am excited about the opportunities out there, I am melancoholic about the end of this stage of my life.

I quit tennis because it was too expensive for me and I know my parents could not afford it.

I like those subjects because I feel attracted to what they talk about.

Celebratig Earth Day!

The Earth is our planet and we must take care of it. For example: if  we use a little less water every day, we are saving sweet water. This does not use to n a lot around the world but if it happened, it would mean a great difference for everyone. It is just one of the things that we could do. But for this we need compromise and determiation, otherwise it is helpless.

If  hunters had not killed so many aimals, there would have been less extinctions. Human beings are used to thinkig they can control everything, even nature, and the answer to this can be seen in the natural disasters that have ocurred along time. People are not use to acting consciously and because of this, it is always hard to help the eviroment and to take care of it. If no one helps, this keeps happening and no one can avoid it. There are some people who can get to help eviroment in many different ways and they are part of orgaizations who helps people and make their lives better by creating a safe eviroment for them. It will be good for everyone, if people join to this type of orgaizations, but it is not that easy for everyone.

If we cotributed to this issue, we will create a safer eviroment. I commit myself to try and do this, and I hope many of you can do this as well. Have a great Earth Day, greetings.
